The Uncreated Light, the Brahmajyoti

Today we are going to continue with our comparative religion series. If we go into kabbalah the Ain equals nothingness, the Ain Soph equals the infinite. These two equal the infinite space. And the Ain Soph Aur equals the uncreated light that fills that infinite space. This uncreated light in the Gaudiya Vaishnava tradition is called the Brahmajyoti. Which is the brilliant impersonal spiritual effulgence or light emanating from the transcendental body of the Supreme Lord, Krishna.

Its important to note, that the contraction of the Brahmajyoti creates the first point. Then the creation of a line creates the second point. And finally the creation of a plane creates the third point. And these three points relate to the Father, the Mother, and the Son. The first point where the light contracts creates our inner star. The inner star is called the Paramatma and that is our objective in these studies, to realize our Paramatma. But we also must have devotion to the Supreme Lord, Krishna.

Now it must be mentioned that the Brahmajyoti is not itself the final goal or liberation. There is much more beyond it, which in the future we will be discussing. And although many souls seek union with the Brahmajyoti or the impersonal light. It becomes very difficult to remain there and very easy to fall back down into material existence.
